    Android 7.1.1 Nougat Update Other will be release with December 6th Security Patch

    The consumer release of Android 7.1.1 is scheduled to be rolled out on December 6.
    According to one of Australia’s largest Smartphone carriers, the public release of Android 7.1.1 is due out starting December 6th. Vodafone Australia has released details of the OTA, scheduled to begin rolling out at 5:00 PM AEST on December 6th , which will be include the December 5th security patch from Google.

    The Android 7.1.1 update will be begin rolling out for Nexus devices at that time. According to Vodafone’s release notes, only 10,000 phones will receive the update in the first three days as it is trickled out. 

    Once released, the software update will put the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Pixel C and Nexus 9 on par with that of the software housed inside the Google Pixel Updating.
